Saving Mothers & Newborns in Ethiopia

Based at Emory University's Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing, Maternal and Newborn Health in Ethiopia Partnership (MaNHEP) is a two-and-a-half year project funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. MaNHEP is working in three rural districts Amhara and three districts in Oromia Regions to demonstrate a community-oriented model for improving maternal and newborn health care and to prepare for use nationwide. Under the leadership of the Ministry of Health, the initiative is based at Emory University's Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing. Partners include John Snow Research and Training Inc., University Research Co. LLC, Addis Ababa University and Bahir Dar University in Ethiopia.
