New Surgical Procedure for Young Athletes with ACL Injuries

This new procedure benefits children & teens with ACL injuries. Emory's Dr. John Xerogeanes describes the procedure, which involves 3D MRI imaging, and its benefits over conventional surgery, which may adversely effect young patients who are still growing.

Xerogeanes, who frequently goes by "Dr. X," is chief of sports medicine at the Emory Orthopaedic & Spine Center. He's also Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Emory University School of Medicine and Head Team Orthopaedist and Physician, Georgia Tech and Emory University.
