Rebecca L. Baggett, MA, MPH

Ms. Baggett is the Director of Projects at the Office of IPECP. In this role, she oversees the day-to-day management of the office including operations, program implementation, communications, and budget management. She works closely with Drs. Guest and Swan to ensure that the office's strategic and programmatic goals are met. In addition to serving in this role, Ms. Baggett is also a member of the Health Sciences Communications (HSC) team and serves in project management and managing editor roles for select HSC publications.

Ms. Baggett has close to 30 years of experience in health-related program management, communications, operations, and fundraising. Prior to joining the Office of IPECP, Ms. Baggett spent more than 15 years at the Emory Global Health Institute (EGHI), where she was a founding staff member and assumed a variety of roles including Director of Communications, Interim Senior Administrator, and most recently, Director of Student Programs. As EGHI's Director of Student Programs, she led a large portfolio of multidisciplinary global health educational programs including its global health case competition and global health field scholars programs. Prior to her work at EGHI, Ms. Baggett held fundraising, grant writing, and project management roles at the Rollins School of Public Health, the American Cancer Society Foundation, the Task Force for Global Health, and the Kerr L. White Institute for Health Services Research. She has also provided fundraising, grant writing, and communications services to a variety of non-profit and health agencies on a consulting basis.

Ms. Baggett earned her BA degree from Dartmouth College, her MA from the University of Alabama, and her MPH from Emory University's Rollins School of Public Health.
