From the Alumni Association President

In the spring, I had the pleasure of welcoming the new nursing graduates to the alumni association. As I stood at the podium, I saw the smiling faces of the new alumni and the partners in caring who supported them throughout their education. In reminiscing about my own graduation, I told them that I’m sure that they were probably relieved the coursework was over and excited about entering the next phase of their lives as a registered nurse.

After I congratulated the new nurses, I also reminded them about another responsibility they would have in the coming months and years. They need to pay it forward. They need to help those who come after them have the same opportunity and financial support they had.

That support also comes from alumni like you.

As you’ve read in the previous pages, the School of Nursing has embarked upon a $20 million campaign. We are a small school of less than 10,000 alumni so we count on every one to provide for future nurses. Every alumnus can move us toward success, no matter the size of the gift.

Sincerely,

Mary Lambert, 81MN
