WHEA Education Mini Grants

The Woodruff Health Educators Academy (WHEA) offers Education Mini Grants to support the projects of current WHEA Educational Scholarship Fellows or the capstone projects of WHEA Teaching Fellows that are to be completed within 12 months of graduation. We are now accepting applications until funds are depleted. 
 
WHEA Education Mini Grants must be used for an activity directly related to completing your WHEA project. The one-time request can be up to $500. 
 
These funds may support: 
  • Project materials that may not be covered by departmental funds. 
  • Software licenses that directly relate to your project. 
  • Support hiring a Research Assistant (Finding a Research Assistant Document). 
  • Securing statistical assistance 
  • Using a transcription service 
 
These funds do not support: 
  • The purchase of technological hardware (e.g., laptops or tablets) 
  • Faculty effort 
 
Note: 
  • Applicants must either have their own Speedtype account or be connected to a department/program/unit with a Speedtype account. 
  • Awardees will be expected to submit a project completion report (1 – 2 paragraphs) detailing how funds were used and findings from the project. 
  • Awardees are required to cite support of the Woodruff Health Sciences Center and the Woodruff Health Educators Academy on all products (publications, patents, presentations) resulting from this award: “This work was supported by a mini grant from the Woodruff Health Sciences Center and the Woodruff Health Educators Academy.”
