Sheila Sanders
Biography
As Chief Information Officer for Emory Healthcare, she has responsibility for the clinical and business systems supporting the health system which include the electronic medical record system (EeMR), patient billing and numerous ancillaries to support patient care.
Prior to joining Emory Healthcare in 2016, she spent more than 30 years as a senior information technology leader at two major academic medical centers – University of Alabama at Birmingham and Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Her background includes implementing enterprise data warehouses, leading IT strategic planning, implementing electronic medical record systems and other business systems, and merging large IT organizations. In addition, she has served as a consultant for major health systems, advising on implementations; mentoring senior leaders; and assisting with policy development, change control and governance processes. She earned her bachelor's in business administration at Auburn University.
