Peta Westmaas establishes the look and feel of print and online publications and collateral produced by the Health Sciences Communications group. With more than 20 years of experience in graphic design, she has won national recognition from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education and the Association of American Medical Colleges, including two Grand, four Gold, and two Silver awards (CASE) and two Awards of Excellence (AAMC/GIA).

She originally joined Emory in 1990 as the designer responsible for publications representing a $400 million campaign, and she subsequently worked as an independent designer in Toronto, Canada, and as an art director in a medical advertising firm in New York City. After 12 years at Emory, Westmaas left to establish her own design firm for five years.
