A team of patients who underwent bariatric surgery at Emory Johns Creek Hospital recently reunited with their surgeons—Christopher Hart, far left, and Will Johnson, far right—to run the first annual 5K Scrub Run. Bariatric Coordinator Lynne Winne, kneeling center, assured the group, including one patient who had surgery just three weeks before the race, that they would finish the run ahead of others. “This is evidence that you can achieve anything you put your mind to,” Winne says. “They did it, and it’s awesome.”
