New administrative appointments have been announced for Budd Terrace at Emory Wesley Woods Center.
Janis Prince has been named interim administrator while a search is underway for a permanent administrator. Prince replaces Valerie Bender, who will be leaving in August.
Prince has worked in the long-term care industry for 28 years in many capacities, including secretary, bookkeeper, admissions coordinator, administrative assistant, and assistant administrator. Prince accepted her first position as a licensed nursing home administrator in 1987 and has continued in the role as administrator since that time.
Dorothy Young-Johnson has been named assistant administrator. Young-Johnson is a licensed nursing facility administrator and registered nurse who brings to Budd Terrace more than 20 years of experience. She holds a master's degree in human resource and health services management, and has served as director of nursing at Rosemont at Stone Mountain since 2000.
Teresa Yancey has been named nurse educator. Yancey is a registered nurse who also holds a law degree from Georgia State University and a bachelor's degree in human services administration. She brings 20 years of management experience in the health care industry, recently coming to Budd Terrace from Wethersfield Health Care, where she served as facility educator.
Patricia Cammarata has been named the new director of nursing. Cammarata has more than 21 years of nursing experience, and has been with Emory Crawford Long Hospital since 1990. For the last four years, she has been night and evening nursing supervisor. Prior to that, she served as charge nurse of a 12-bed Intensive Care Unit at Emory Crawford Long.
Budd Terrace at Wesley Woods is a 250-bed nursing care facility that offers care to older adults who need long-term care because of chronic health problems or short-term care to meet specific needs. Residents of Budd Terrace receive care from nationally recognized physicians specializing in geriatric medicine.
The Wesley Woods Center is nationally recognized for its comprehensive care to individuals and families who face age-related health care issues. The center is the geriatric specialty component of Emory Healthcare, and comprises Wesley Woods Geriatric Long Term Acute Care Hospital, Wesley Woods Outpatient Clinic, Budd Terrace nursing care facility and Wesley Woods Towers.
