Construction on the new Emory Johns Creek Hospital has begun at the intersection of McGinnis Ferry and Medlock Bridge Road (West Johns Parkway). Located in North Fulton County, the environmentally sensitive new hospital is situated on a 30-acre tract in the heart of one of metro Atlanta¹s most dynamic regions. Emory Johns Creek Hospital represents an estimated $117 million joint investment in the health of the Johns Creek community by Emory Healthcare and HCA, Inc., through their joint venture EHCA, LLC.
The estimated opening date of the new four-story, 269,000-square-foot hospital is no later than January 2007. With 110 beds in all-private rooms, Emory Johns Creek will offer state-of-the-art diagnostics, equipment, and technology designed to provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services, to include the following: ¬ Full service 24-hour emergency department ¬ Full service Intensive Care Unit ¬ Complete diagnostic services ¬ Comprehensive outpatient services, including outpatient surgery ¬ Women's services, including a Level III neonatal nursery

Community doctors on the Emory Dunwoody medical staff will continue to be integral in the operations of Emory Johns Creek, much as they have been at Emory Dunwoody. Emory will provide the medical director and clinical management for the new hospital and will staff it with School of Medicine physicians, including faculty and residents in family and preventive medicine and gynecology and obstetrics.
