Emory Healthcare Marketing Team Earns National Awards for Creativity and Achievement
The Emory Healthcare Marketing Department has earned numerous awards for creativity and achievement in two national programs recognizing marketing and advertising excellence.

"We are very fortunate to have such a talented team, and I am very proud of the level of quality and creative work and dedication each member provides every day that makes our final product worthy of such recognition," says Una Hutton Newman, chief marketing officer for Emory Healthcare and Emory University. "It is always a special honor to be recognized by such prestigious organizations comprised of your colleagues and peers, and we take very seriously the commitment to outstanding service and representation we offer to our clients within Emory Healthcare."

The Emory team earned nine awards (one "Gold," two "Silver," three "Bronze" and three "Merit") in the 25th annual Healthcare Advertising Awards. The Healthcare Advertising Awards is the oldest, largest and most prestigious advertising awards competition, with over 3,500 entries submitted last year from every state in the country and multiple foreign countries. Judges for the Healthcare Advertising Awards consisted of a national panel of healthcare marketers, advertising creative directors, advertising professionals, healthcare consultants, marketing professors and the editorial board of Healthcare Marketing Report.

The team earned five awards (one "Silver" and four "Bronze") in the 2008 Aster Awards. The Aster Awards is a medical marketing awards program allowing healthcare organizations and advertising agencies to compete against similarly sized competitors from across the nation and world. Each year, the Aster Awards has an annual contest allowing entries designed, printed and/or distributed the previous year to be scored, judged and recognized for excellence in healthcare marketing and advertising.
