Emory University Hospital to Host Live Disaster Response Drill
WHAT:
Emory University Hospital and the Department of Emergency Medicine will hold a realistic Advanced Disaster Life Support drill, sponsored by Emory's Office of Critical Event Preparedness and Response (CEPAR). The mock disaster drill will include a decontamination station, complete with actor-patients, emergency first responders, sirens and smoke. The event, which is part of a one-day training class, is being held in order to prepare medical first responders to a crisis emergency situation, which may require numerous support units and teams. Interviews will be available with Emory Public Safety and Emergency Medicine physicians.

Tuesday, June 17 @ 9 a.m.

WHERE:
Woodruff Circle -- Next to Emory University Hospital 1365 Clifton Road, NE, Atlanta, GA 30322 MEDIA:
Media MUST confirm attendance with Lance Skelly by 8 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17 in order to reserve parking in hospital valet parking lot. Valet parking is approximately 100 yards from the drill site. There will be no other parking alternatives for this event.
