Clark-Holder Clinic To Join Emory Specialty Associates
Clark-Holder Clinic, PA, a multi-specialty healthcare group serving West Georgia, has signed a letter of intent to join Emory Specialty Associates, LLC, a subsidiary of Emory Healthcare.

Established in 1936, Clark-Holder Clinic is the largest multi-specialty group practice in West Georgia employing over 30 doctors and other healthcare providers with a staff of 170. Key facilities are located in LaGrange, West Point and Newnan.

"Emory Healthcare is pleased to partner with the quality of care provided by the Clark-Holder Clinic," says John T. Fox, CEO of Emory Healthcare. "Extending Emory clinical programs to the physicians of the Clark-Holder Clinic will provide added access to care to the residents of this region. In addition, it's our intent to position Clark-Holder Clinic to recruit additional specialists to the practice, in order to expand the physician base in the greater LaGrange community."

Dr. Warren Henderson, president of Clark-Holder Clinic, says, "Both organizations have a proud history of providing quality healthcare. We are very excited that this new affiliation will attract more quality physicians and new technology to our area and improve the quality of care delivered in Troup County and surrounding areas.

"Officials of the Clark-Holder Clinic Board agree with the management team that this is a new day in healthcare and we are responding to the changes in the healthcare delivery system," says Dr. Henderson.

Clark-Holder Clinic has provided medical services to the citizens of west Georgia and east Alabama for nearly 70 years.

"We are proud to be the first major multi-specialty group to join Emory Specialty Associates and believe we are establishing the way quality healthcare will be delivered in communities outside Atlanta," says Tony Dattilo, executive director of Clark-Holder Clinic. "We look forward to continuing the current success of our Clinic utilizing our highly skilled physicians and staff in providing quality and compassionate healthcare matched with our new relationship with Emory Healthcare."

Dattilo adds, "The Clinic plans to operate as it does today, but with a major Atlanta partner. We expect to add to our physician staff and improve access to healthcare in our area. All our physicians will continue to use West Georgia Health System as our local hospital."

Emory Healthcare is the clinical arm of Emory University's Woodruff Health Sciences Center and is the largest, most comprehensive health care system in Georgia. Emory Specialty Associates (ESA) was formed in 2006 as Emory Healthcare's outreach physician practice organization, managed by The Emory Clinic.
