Sterk named provost

Claire Sterk

Noted RSPH researcher Claire Sterk was named chief academic officer at Emory.

She is well prepared for her new role, having served as interim provost and senior vice provost for academic planning. Sterk is the former chair of behavioral sciences and health education and associate dean for research at Rollins. She continues to serve as Charles Howard Candler Professor of Public Health and is known for her studies of addiction, mental health, and HIV/AIDS.
