Every summer, students and faculty from the School of Nursing make a three-hour trek to Moultrie, Ga.

There, in the small agricultural community, they provide health care to one of America's most needy populations—migrant farm workers and their families.

For two weeks students and faculty, along with community partners, such as the Ellenton Clinic, provide physical examinations and health screenings.

They go where the migrant farm workers live and work, setting up shop in their fields and apartment and trailer park complexes.

And they work during the day and night to reach this often invisible population, most of whom live in abject poverty.
