Faculty Members Must Complete Annual Certification by March 31

Each year, all full-time and part-time faculty members in the SOM are required to complete an Annual Certification of the past year's professional and financial relationships. Annual Certification completion is important because Emory guarantees to the NIH that all researchers receiving government funds have completed this form. The certification completion rate is also reviewed by the school's accrediting body (LCME), and it helps the school comply with non-research conflict of interest policies. Complete your certification by logging into eCOI and signing in using your Emory Network ID. Detailed instructions were emailed to all faculty members from Zainab Harvey on Feb. 13. If you have questions about this process, contact Harvey at zwurie@emory.edu.

New Security Screening at Children's

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston has put into place a new, 24/7 security screening process for all visitors. Staff, should they need to enter the main entrance, are allowed to pass upon showing their Children's or Emory identification to security. Staff should not bypass the line, and are encouraged to wait patiently until being greeted by security. Thanks for your understanding as Children's works toward its goal of increasing patient, visitor, and staff safety.
