Dean Christian Larsen

As many of you are aware, Dr. Wayne Alexander, our friend and esteemed chair of the Department of Medicine and service chief for medicine in Emory Healthcare, will be stepping down later this year. Finding a successor to follow in Dr. Alexander's footsteps will not be an easy task, but it is one we undertake with great enthusiasm. We are determined to attract the finest candidates in the nation and to identify a leader who will continue Dr. Alexander's tradition of excellence. 

We have an exceptional search committee in place to immediately undertake this important task (please see list below). The committee will be chaired by Laureen L. Hill, MD, MBA, professor and chair, Department of Anesthesiology, and service chief for anesthesiology in Emory Healthcare, and Fadlo R. Khuri, MD, professor and chair, Department of Hematology & Medical Oncology; deputy director, Winship Cancer Institute; and service chief for hematology & medical oncology in Emory Healthcare.
