May 1 was the first official first day for Dr. Linda McCauley, new dean of the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing. We first announced the appointment of Dean McCauley last November, and in the months since then she has been a frequent visitor to Atlanta, getting to know the faculty, staff, and students of the School of Nursing, as well as her colleagues throughout the Woodruff Health Sciences Center and Emory University.

For those of you who have not yet had an opportunity to meet Dean McCauley, please see the see this article in the Spring 2009 issue of Emory Nursing magazine to learn more about her impressive background and her ambitious goals for the nursing school.
