Emory and the Atlanta VA Medical Center (2008)

Emory Builds a Bridge

Now more than 60 years old, the partnership between Emory and the Atlanta VA Medical Center gained a new symbol this year when the university constructed a graceful pedestrian bridge to join the backyards of the two campuses, making it easier for Emory physicians, scientists, residents, and others to cross back and forth between these co-joined worlds.

Outreach to Caregivers

Emory medical faculty provide virtually all physician care for more than 60,000 veterans treated at the hospital—the largest, most complex, tertiary care VA facility in the Southeast. Emory scientists have made the Atlanta VA one of the nation's top VA centers for research. And Emory's commitment to the VA has never been stronger, or more needed.
