Future of Cancer Research May Be in Hands of Atlanta Teens

Summer Scholars Research Program Symposium:
High school students working in Emory Winship cancer research labs will present research projects to Emory faculty who served as their mentors.
WHO:
Ten students from metro area high schools spent six weeks working in cancer research laboratories at the Emory Winship Cancer Institute. They will each make a 10-minute presentation to faculty using posters and power point. Faculty will ask questions about their research. Parents will also attend.

The Emory Summer Scholars program, hosted by the Emory Winship Cancer Institute, provides area high school students who are interested in careers in science with a genuine experience working in a biomedical research laboratory.
