As associate director of media relations at Emory University Hospital Midtown (formerly Emory Crawford Long Hospital), Christenbury is responsible for handling daily media relations for Emory University School of Medicine faculty and community physicians at Emory University Hospital Midtown, as well as services, programs and events within the hospital.
Christenbury joined Health Sciences Communications in 2000, where she served for seven years as a public information officer for Emory School of Medicine and Emory Healthcare. She also managed Emory's Video News Release (VNR) Program where she produced, wrote and oversaw production of a series about medical and scientific discovery at Emory.
Prior to her work at Emory, Christenbury was a television news producer, working at three television stations in South Carolina, and most recently, at WAGA TV (Fox 5) in Atlanta.
She received a bachelor's degree in theatre and a minor in journalism from the University of South Carolina.
