Mr. Warren is president of Cumberland Corporation. Formerly president of Cole, Sanford & Whitmire, a casualty and general insurance agency, he had been associated with that firm since 1953, following his graduation with a BBA from Emory’s business school. His father received his medical degree from the Emory School of Medicine.  Interested in education from the cradle to post-secondary schools,

Mr. Warren has served as treasurer and board member for the Sheltering Arms Day Nurseries, as a trustee of the Westminster Schools, and as a member of Emory’s Board of Visitors. A devoted alumnus, he has worked on behalf of Emory’s Loyalty Fund and chaired the Emory Merit Plan Drive and the initial fund drive for Wesley Woods. Elected an Emory trustee in 1980, he was made secretary of the board in 2000 and served in this office until his elevation to trustee emeritus in 2001.
