CEO, Emory Eastside Medical Center

As the CEO of Emory Eastside Medical Center, Kim Ryan brings a wealth of knowledge, information, and ingenuity to Eastside and the Snellville community based on her experience at Tulane University Hospital and Clinic in New Orleans. Her career at Tulane began as administrator of Tulane Hospital for Children and Women’s Services and clinical instructor for the department of pediatrics. In January 2000 she was promoted to chief nursing officer for Tulane Hospital and Clinic and served in that capacity until December 2004 when she was promoted to chief operating officer for Tulane Medical Center, and interim CEO in March 2007.

She has a MBA from Georgia College & State University, an MS from the University of Rochester, and a BS in nursing from the University of Albany in New York.

Ryan is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, United Way’s Women’s Leadership Initiative, and the Healthcare Advisory Board for Nurse Executives. She was recognized as City Business Magazine’s “Woman of the Year” in 2003. She has been in health care for 26 years.
