As Assistant Director of Media Relations, Dobbs is responsible for promoting faculty research, programs and events for the Rollins
School of Public Health, the Nell
Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing, as well as various departments in the School
of Medicine.
Dobbs comes to Emory from the Atlanta office of GolinHarris
International, a global public relations agency. She was the primary writer
for the agency's healthcare team and also served as media relations specialist
for Piedmont Healthcare, the Georgia Division of Public Health and the
American Association of Occupational Health Nurses. In addition, Dobbs
provided crisis communications support and coordinated special events including
Gov. Perdue's statewide "Be Active" campaign launch, the 2006 Tour de Georgia
Live Healthy Georgia Expo and Piedmont Hospital's centennial anniversary
nursing school reunion.
A native of Atlanta, Dobbs is a graduate of Emory
University. She also received a master's degree in journalism from Northwestern
University's Medill School of Journalism.
