Biography

Holly Korschun was named Interim Associate Vice President for Health Sciences Communications in November 2016. Previously, she served as executive director of media relations and research communications for Health Sciences Communications. During a career in communications at Emory University that began in 1980, she has served in various communications roles, including as associate director of university publications, writer and editor for the Winship Cancer Institute and the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, and writer and editor for the schools of medicine, public health, and nursing. Prior to joining Emory, Korschun was editor of publications at Tufts University.

Korschun is a member of the National Association of Science Writers. Her professional honors include an Award for Excellence in Medical Education Public Affairs from the Association of American Medical Colleges, and she is a member of the Robert W. Woodruff Health Sciences Center's Woodruff Leadership Academy Class of 2004.
