WHO: The Emory University School of Medicine Mood and Anxiety Disorders Clinical Trials Program and The Fuqua Center for Late Life Depression

WHAT: Free Clinical Screenings for Anxiety Disorders

WHEN: National Anxiety Disorders Screening Day, Wednesday, May 1, 2002 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

WHERE: Wesley Woods Health Center 1841 Clifton Rd., Fourth Floor

WHY: Although anxiety disorders are the most common psychiatric condition in the U.S., most people who suffer from them have never received treatment. Sponsored by Freedom From Fear, the National Institute for Mental Health and the American Psychiatric Association, this is an opportunity for adults who suspect that they, or a family member, may suffer from an anxiety disorder to have a free clinical screening.

CONTACT: Emory University Department of Psychiatry 404/727-8968

(Media Note: Experts as well as patients who have been successfully treated will be available for interview)
